Tina

Loved this show. Entertaining to the max. The cast was amazing. After the curtain call the stayed and played more songs, I would have seen it again but the show was ending a couple of days later. The cast was great. The star playing Tina was amazing as was the whole cast. Would see it again if its still. in NY next time I'm there. Love the venue ,Broward Performing Arts Center in my favorite here. Traffic is an issue getting into the parking garage but once your parked it's east to get into the theatre. Didn't buy advance parking but next time I wil see if its available. They are using a parking APP now

So much more

I had the pleasure of seeing this show in New York. It was everything I expected and more. I loved it so much I wanted to invite some friends to see it in Ft Lauderdale. Sadly I was disappointed with the actress that played Tina Turner. She didn’t embody Tina and in turn there was times it took her a moment to get in character. Thank goodness she found her stride and the second half of the show was so much better than the first. By the end she was great. I would still recommend this show to anyone to learn about Tina Turner.

Disappointed

I saw Tina Turner two times in concert and she was amazing. I do realize that this was a play about her life, but her later concerts were a major, positive turning point in her life, and I felt that the play was the perfect opportunity to stress that. The second half of the play was just boring and, in my opinion, the show should have ended with about 15 minutes of powerful, concert style music. That in itself would have made the ticket price worth it. Also, even though the script was realistic, we felt that the language needed to be toned down a lot.
